Case Studies
Middle Colorado Watershed Council
A clear plan to grow major gifts and a website that shows the work behind a healthy river.
Overview
Across two engagements, Forward Cadence helped HomeCare & Hospice of the Valley define a clear, consistent message and carry it onto a new website. We started with discovery and stakeholder interviews, built a messaging framework their whole team uses, then designed the site around the partners who refer patients to them.
The Challenge
HomeCare & Hospice of the Valley provides hospice, home care and bereavement support across three counties, and their impact is felt deeply throughout the community. The next step was a website and messaging that showed people the full depth of the work their team does every day.
Leadership saw an opportunity to:
- Describe each of their services in clear, specific language that reflects the care families receive
- Lead with referral partners as the primary audience, then give families, volunteers and job seekers clear pathways of their own
- Bring it all together in a modern, accessible website

What We Made Possible
HomeCare & Hospice's website now reflects the quality of care their team provides every day. Referral partners have a clear pathway to connect with the organization, and families, volunteers and job seekers can each find what they need.
- Make referring easy
- The site is designed around referral partners first, with a direct path to connect with the team.
- Show what sets them apart
- Each service is described in specific language that reflects the team's quality of care.
- Give every audience a clear path
- Navigation built around audiences guides families, volunteers and job seekers to what they need.
- Design for every visitor
- Accessible design and accurate, current information serve everyone, including people using assistive technology.
Take a Tour of the New Site
The homepage shows who MCWC is and what they do right away. Navigation built around their audiences leads people to the work that matters to them, and the new messaging carries through every core page.
Wow! Beautiful work. Well done!! It's aesthetically pleasing but still means business.
